Meet Amanda
Professional Nanny, Postpartum Doula & Newborn Care Specialist
Amanda is a dedicated childcare professional with more than 25 years of experience providing exceptional, personalized care to children and supporting families through every stage of early childhood. With a longstanding passion for nurturing little ones, she brings a wealth of hands-on experience, a calm and reassuring presence, and a genuine understanding of the unique needs of both Newborns and their parents.
Three years ago, Amanda furthered her education and professional expertise by becoming a ProDoula Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, expanding her ability to support families through the transformative postpartum period. As a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) with a special focus on overnight care, she is passionate about helping new parents navigate the early weeks and months with greater confidence, comfort, and peace of mind. Her approach combines decades of practical childcare experience with specialized knowledge and attentive, individualized care tailored to each family’s needs.
Safety and professionalism are equally important to Amanda. She holds Adult, Child & Infant CPR, First Aid, and AED certification and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where babies can thrive and parents feel confident in the care their little ones receive.
Beyond her professional experience, Amanda is a mother and former foster mother, roles that have deepened her appreciation for the trust families place in those who care for their children. She believes that exceptional childcare goes beyond meeting a baby’s daily needs; it means building meaningful connections, respecting each family’s parenting preferences, and providing thoughtful support during some of life’s most precious and life-changing moments.
Originally from Michigan, Amanda relocated to Florida three years ago to enjoy the sunshine and be closer to family. She has fallen in love with the Florida lifestyle and enjoys spending her free time doing Zumba, unwinding by the pool with a good book, catching up with friends, and making memories with her daughter.
With her extensive experience, continued professional development, and heartfelt dedication to family care, Amanda strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families she serves—offering the experience of a seasoned childcare professional with the warmth and personal attention every family deserves.

Questions
Don't see yours? Just ask.
Where do you work?
In families' homes across Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Families more than 10 miles by road from Palm Harbor (34685) have a mileage fee, included in your quote if applicable.
What does a Postpartum Doula do overnight?
Newborn feeding support (bringing baby to you or giving a bottle), burping, soothing and settling, diapers, monitoring baby's well-being and building healthy sleep routines. Plus emotional support and reassurance for you. It's non-medical support and doesn't replace your doctor or lactation consultant.
How much does care cost?
Every family's needs are different. After you send a request, Amanda talks with you (nanny and travel care start with a free consultation) and sends your price in writing before anything is booked.
Is there a minimum?
Postpartum shifts are a minimum of 8 hours, typically about 10 PM to 6 AM. Babysitting is offered with a 4-hour minimum.
Do you take pictures of the kids?
No. Never, as a rule. Not for social media and not for advertising.
I'd love to support your family
